Mission & Purpose

A home is where dignity begins.

Wentzel Estates™ exists because transitional shelter alone isn’t the finish line — it’s the starting point. Our mission is to build a flagship housing development where families move from surviving to settling, from surviving to belonging.

This isn’t housing in isolation. Wentzel Estates™ is designed as a full community development — where the same family that receives a home can also access education support, community meals, and empowerment programmes, all without leaving their neighbourhood. It’s the physical expression of everything the Foundation stands for, built on one site, for one purpose: restoring hope and dignity, permanently.

Our Goals

What we’re building toward.

Wentzel Estates™ is a long-term commitment, built in phases — here’s what success looks like at every stage.

01

Secure the site & partnerships

Lock in land, funding partners, and construction relationships before a single brick is laid.

02

Break ground on Phase One

Launch our first housing units as a proof-of-concept for the full Wentzel Estates™ model.

03

Integrate community services

Bring education, food security, and empowerment programmes directly on-site, not off in the distance.

04

Build a replicable model

Prove Wentzel Estates™ works, then use it as the blueprint for future developments across South Africa.

Designed as a community

Not just houses. A whole neighbourhood.

Every element of Wentzel Estates™ is planned around the same four pillars that drive everything else we do.

Safe, Dignified Homes

Stable, well-built housing units designed for long-term family life, not temporary shelter.

Community Kitchen & Garden

On-site access to shared meals and food security support for every household on the estate.

Learning & Mentorship Centre

A space for learners to study, get tutoring, and connect with mentors close to home.

Empowerment & Skills Hub

Workshops, training, and micro-business support so residents can build real independence.

Shared Green Spaces

Communal outdoor areas designed to bring neighbours together, not just house them side by side.

On-Site Support Services

Ongoing check-ins and support so families are never left to navigate the transition alone.

Where we’re heading

Our roadmap to Wentzel Estates™

Wentzel Estates™ is being built in deliberate phases — proving the model before scaling it.

2026 – 2028

Foundation & Partnerships

Registering the Foundation, building our donor base, and securing the land, funding, and construction partners Wentzel Estates™ will need.

2029 – 2031

Pilot Housing & Groundbreaking

Launching a transitional housing pilot to prove the model, then breaking ground on the first phase of Wentzel Estates™ itself.

2032

First Families Move In

Welcoming our first households onto the estate, alongside the earliest community kitchen and learning centre services.

2033 & Beyond

Full Community Hub

Completing the empowerment and skills hub, expanding shared spaces, and reaching full integration of all four pillars on-site.

Beyond Gauteng

A Model, Not a One-Off

Using Wentzel Estates™ as the blueprint for future developments in the broader country, as our continental roadmap grows.

Help us build it

Wentzel Estates™ doesn’t get built without people like you.

Whether you’re funding a foundation, sponsoring a unit, volunteering on-site, or partnering as a business — every contribution moves this from a vision to an address.
